Diamonds Are Forever

Wedding Rings – Diamonds are forever .

Amongst all the planning of a wedding and the hunt for the perfect dress and shoes, bridal jewellery and the wedding rings sometimes tend to take a back seat, but we all know that diamonds are forever. So we asked diamond expert, and founder of Diamond Manufacturers, Vashi Dominguez, to offer his advice about how to sparkle on your wedding day. Over to you Vashi…

Wedding Bands

When choosing your rings make sure that you and your partner pick rings which suit your lifestyle. If you have a very active lifestyle you may not want to opt for big diamonds as they can catch on clothing easily and may not necessarily be comfortable. If you are typing every day, for instance, you many want to choose something slightly thinner for comfort.

In terms of metals, platinum is the strongest of the jewellery metals as it is resistant to damage and won’t tarnish, so is perfect for those with active day jobs or lives. If you opt for white or yellow gold make sure that it is no higher than 18k as the metal starts to become soft at a higher carat and is therefore less resistant to wear and tear.

Remember that your ring will need to sit comfortably against your engagement ring. You may want to consider buying a curved ring that will sit smoothly round the diamond and complement your engagement ring. You and your partner may also opt for matching rings in the same metal and style.

Whichever design you choose just remember that it is likely you will be wearing the ring every day for the rest of your life, so make sure the style will still be in favour in 20 years’ time. A way of ensuring that the ring remains unique and special to you is to have it engraved either with your and your partner’s names and the date of your wedding, or a personal saying which is special to you both. Diamond Manufacturers currently offers customers free engraving on any plain wedding bands purchased from their site.

As with every aspect of your wedding, know your budget and stick to it. Make sure you do your research before buying your rings so you buy the best ones for your money. Don’t be drawn in by pushy sales staff and fancy lighting. Buying pieces online is a much cheaper option than shopping on the High Street: for example Diamond Manufacturers are on average over 60% cheaper than selected High Street stores.

Bridal Jewellery

Choosing jewellery that you can wear long after your wedding day is a sure investment. Not only will your pieces then hold sentimental value but can also be mixed and matched with other pieces too.

If you are looking for something understated and classic for your big day opt for a solitaire diamond pendant and diamond stud earrings. These will sparkle and stun without drawing attention away from the dress or bride.

However, if you are looking for something a bit different you can choose something like a piece from our new collection. Delicate vintage style pieces such as flower stud earrings or a spiral diamond necklace can add a touch of glamour to your day.

Again, when choosing jewellery for your day make sure it complements your look and style and, with any diamond pieces, make sure you are getting the best value for money. Do your research on the 4 C’s – Carat, Clarity, Cut and Colour and shop around.
