Last month we were the event planner for Jersey’s 2016 Tech Fair.
Jersey Tech Fair is a great event, both exhibition and conference, which brings together the business community, schools and students, plus the general public.
It was fabulous being involved with a great team, made up from Digital Jersey, BCS, JE3 and the wider tech community, to showcase the best the island has to offer tech wise. The schedule of events was very broad with something to appeal to all the different target audiences.
We had drones, Virtual Reality headsets, MedTech, E-Gov, BitCoin, the Internet of Things, not to mention a really wide range of free classes for kids and adults alike to learn digital drawing, animation, video production and a whole host of other delights.
If you don’t know Fort Regent it was built as a fortress and therefore is hardly purpose built for conferences and exhibitions, but nevertheless boasts a wide variety of different spaces in which to hold plenary sessions, workshops and display stands. By the time the two days were over I just about knew my way around!
Yep, for those of you who know me well, I was very much out of my comfort zone in terms of the actual content, but the together as a team we did it and have had some amazing feedback.
Roll on Jersey Tech Fair 2017.
