Country Garden Party

Kate & Gavin had been planning their wedding for a few months, and had decided upon a Church ceremony at the elegant St Nicholas Church, Harpenden, followed by a marquee reception in Kate’s father’s garden.

Having reviewed a couple of suppliers, the couple decided to engage ternevents to plan their wedding as they were busy with work and were keen to ensure all suppliers were mindful that the reception was taking place at the family home.

Sandy recommended a simple, pole marquee with a gorgeous Indian lining which totally matched Kate’s earthy colour scheme.

The couple was keen for their guests to enjoy a relaxed English Country Garden feel, and simple, ‘yummy’ food was their choice. Kingfisher Caterers were the perfect choice for hearty canapes, splendid locally sourced sausages, with mash and excellent veg.

To finish off the meal Sandy organised for Noviellos Ice Cream to arrive in one of their vans, playing ‘Daisy Daisy’ over the speaker to entice guests out to choose their favourite ices for dessert.

LM2 Entertainment provided a fabulous band who had guests dancing until midnight.

Gavin, being a vet, and both being serious dog lovers, their beloved pet played a key role, but as you can see, was exhausted by the end!

‘A massive thank you for all you did – I just can’t thank you enough. Kate & Gavin’

Enormous photo credit thanks go to Simon Goold of XPose Photography whom Sandy knew would work perfectly for this particular couple and their relaxed and friendly style.
