East Meets West
Sippy & Damien are based in Sydney but wanted to marry in England, where Sippy had grown up.
Having located the perfect venue in Northbrook Park and a number of their suppliers, Sippy was keen to have some help bringing everyone and everything together, as it was difficult from the other side of the world.
After meeting Sippy’s parents, getting to know the couple via Skype, and meeting with the venue and key suppliers, Sandy was convinced the day would run smoothly and that one of her favourite florists, Simon Nickell, was the perfect complement to the already beautiful setting.
Sippy had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, but sadly the weather, although fabulous for part of the day, wasn’t sufficiently certain to hold for a two hour Hindu ceremony, so the stunning mandap and furniture by Raj Tent Club had to be erected inside.
Irishman Damien rode the glorious grey ‘Flamenca’ to meet his bride for the Jai Mala ceremony, after which everyone entered The Orangery for refreshments.
Drinks were served and the delightful walled gardens were a splendid backdrop for canapes and garden games. The children searched for the tiny leprechauns which had been hidden around the grounds.
Sapna created wonderful food throughout the day and evening, whilst DJ Kam kept everyone on the dance floor all night.
Sippy’s peacock blue colour scheme was further enhanced by a painted cake designed by The Utterly Sexy Cafe.
‘Hi Sandy, Just wanted to say thanks for all your help with Sunday – we all had a great time! Sippy & Damien.’
Many thanks to AntonioSanzari for the fabulous images.
