Handfasting is a wedding tradtion whereby the bride’s and the groom’s hands are bound together. Apparently an old Celtic custom which began the expression ‘to tie the knot’. Also often used today in Humanist ceremonies.

We loved it when a couple whose wedding we planned decided to bind their hands together. It was such a touching thing to watch.
